Getting to Stockholm

✈️ Flights

The easiest way to get to Stockholm is by taking a plane to Stockholm Arlanda Airport. From Arlanda you can get to the city using the Arlanda Express train in 20 minutes or the Flygbussarna bus in 45 minutes. A taxi ride takes about 30 minutes but since both the conference venue and the hotel we are partnering with are very close to the Central Station, we recommend using public transit instead. Skavsta airport is also a viable option but is much farther from Stockholm City. From Skavsta, a Flygbussarna bus takes 1h 45 min.

🚆 Trains

There are trains to Stockholm city from Copenhagen (by way of Malmö) and Gothenburg arriving multiple times a day. There is also a train line from Berlin. Check SJ for time tables and other information.

🛥 Ferries

Ferries arrive to Stockholm from Helsinki, Turku, Riga, Tallinn, and St. Petersburg regularly.

Accommodation

There is plenty of accommodation close to the venue of the conference, in the heart of Stockholm.

Just as previous years, we have a deal with Scandic Hotels for the following hotels:

  • Downtown Camper (official speaker hotel, within Dash jumping distance from the main venue 😃)
  • Scandic Continental (by the central train station)
  • Scandic Wallin (slightly cheaper option, within short walking distance)

Use the code PRO15SE on scandichotels.com , valid on Aug 30st to Sep 3rd (checkout)

The code gives a discount for bookings with full cancellation, pay at the hotel, breakfast included.

Which means you can get away cheaper by booking without the code if you choose a non-refundable booking without breakfast.

Those two hotels are still quite expensive, even with the discount.
You can get away cheaper by booking without the code if you choose a non-refundable booking without breakfast, or find cheaper accommodation. It should be easy to find. Since the venue is in central Stockholm, you can stay almost anywhere in the city and still reach it within a reasonable time.

Getting Around

🚶‍♀️Stockholm, with its four main islands, is a very walkable city. Most activities and locations for Flutter & Friends will be within walking distance of the Central Station.

🚇 If you want to explore Stockholm more, you can get a 3-day SL public transport card which you can use for all public transport in Stockholm. This includes subway, buses, ferries, commute trains, and trams.

🚲 Starting spring 2025, Stockholm is offering 2,000 electric rental bikes through the companies Bolt and Voi. You can rent and park these bikes using their respective apps, which also detail pricing and terms. For more information, visit the official page: https://cykla.stockholm/hyrcyklar/.

Seeing more

Visit Stockholm is an excellent site provided by the municipality with plenty of tips for things to see, eat, drink, and do around Stockholm.
